Description

A pair of large Dutch Chinoiserie decorative vases in good condition, signed ‘WK xxxxx’ on the base, ca. 1702/1725. Made by Plateelbakkerij De Drie Porseleinen Flessies, owned by Willem Jacobsz van der Kool (1702-1716) or the Widow van der Kool-Schrevelius (1716-1745). Tin-glazed earthenware, polychrome painted with a famille rose base, ca. 1702-1725. The vases are decorated with Chinese motifs and designs, such as Chinese characters, arabesques, birds, flowers, and trees.
